Best national team uniforms for Paris 2024 Olympics revealed

From July 26 to August 11, 2024, various athletes representing different countries will be present for the games which is considered a global, popular, multicultural festival attended by persons worldwide.

10,500 athletes are expected in total. Games are scheduled to happen at 35 venues in Paris with about 20,000 accredited journalists anticipated to be present.

The 19-day competition will witness 329 events. The opening ceremony will come off on July 26 outside a stadium for the first time. As part of the opening ceremony activities, nations will unveil their beautifully designed Olympic uniforms and attires.

A lot of work has gone into the designing of these uniforms, blending both traditionality and modernity.

Here are some of the top uniforms from selected countries that have got the world talking

Mongolia

The Mongolian uniforms were designed by Mongolian sisters Michel and Amazonka Chiogalaa. The two are known for their previous designs of the Mongolian team’s official outfits for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics as well as the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics.

Haiti

Haitian-Italian designer Stella Jean is the designer behind Haiti’s uniforms for the Paris Olympics. Jean partnered with Haitian painter Philippe Dodard, incorporating his artwork "Passage" into the designs.

Nigeria

Nigeria’s bold green and white attires for the competition were designed by Actively Black, an athleisure brand based in Los Angeles.

Canada

Designer Lululemon brought to life Team Canada’s uniforms, blending floral patterns with a mix of athleisure and formal elements.

Great Britain

60-year-old British clothing brand Ben Sherman popular for its menswear designs created Britain’s Olympic uniforms. This will be the third time they are designing the country’s Olympic uniforms, reminding the world that Britain is four nations, not one.

U.S.A

American designer Ralph Lauren cooked Team USA’s uniforms combining the country’s colours in a classic style with modern elements.

Italy

Team Italy’s uniform for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games is designed by EA7 Emporio Armani and was unveiled during the Emporio Armani Men’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection presentation.

Jamaica

Jamaica’s colourful athlete attires were designed by Puma.

India

Indian designer Tarun Tahiliani made the country’s Olympic uniforms.  

Japan

ASICS designed Japan’s uniforms combining aesthetics and advanced sportswear technology.

France

Designer Stéphane Ashpool collaborated with luxury brand Berluti to design Team France’s uniforms.

Netherlands

Netherland’s baggy-like tracksuits are designed by Amsterdam-based brand The New Originals.

Czech Republic

A collaboration between LPINE PRO and Czech designer Jan Černý birthed the unique designs for team Czech Republic.

Ireland

New York-based Irish designer Laura Weber blends tranditional styles with modernity for Ireland’s team attire.

Philippines

Adidas Philippines is styling Filipino athletes for the 2024 Olympic Games.

Spain

Joma Sport designed the Spanish jersey for the upcoming games.

Thailand

Thailand's uniforms were designed by Grand Sports and four other teams and will feature the Ban Chiang pattern at the Olympics opening.

Chinese Taipei/Taiwan

The formal uniform is planned by fashion designer, Justin Chou.

Australia

ASICS’s designs are seen in the Australian Olympic Team’s uniforms.
