Ukraine has issued a warning regarding the potential recapture of the city of Kupyansk by Russia as Russia's Ministry of Defense reported neutralizing several drone attacks in Kyiv.

Russia declared the destruction of 11 Ukrainian drones over Moscow, Tula, Kaluga, and Bryansk near the Ukrainian border. The Ministry of Defense stated the "neutralization" of a drone attack from Kyiv into Russia, causing minor injuries in Tula. Another unverified drone attack was reportedly thwarted near Podolsk, south of Moscow.

Ukraine's military expressed concern about the risk of Russia attempting to recapture the industrial city of Kupyansk in Kharkiv province. Ongoing clashes were reported around the city of Sinkioka, northeast of Kupyansk, with Russian forces showing renewed military initiative in northeastern Ukraine.

Meanwhile, both the European Union and Canada have affirmed their commitment to providing ongoing military support to Ukraine.

Amidst continued Western military aid, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and European Council President Charles Michel pledged long-term security commitments, with Canada providing 11,000 assault rifles and 9 million rounds of ammunition.

Sweden and Lithuania also announced financial assistance to the "Grain Exports from Ukraine" initiative, contributing 8.7 million euros collectively. This aid aims to support Ukraine's grain exports and demining efforts in affected villages. Despite ongoing hostilities, Ukraine remains a crucial global player in ensuring food security.

Ukraine, a major grain exporter, faced disruptions to its traditional Black Sea export route due to the war. Russia's attacks on key port infrastructure further complicated Ukraine's grain exports. In response, Kyiv established a new export route along the western shores of the Black Sea, overcoming obstacles posed by Russia's withdrawal from a U.N.-brokered grain export deal.

The financial aid from Sweden and Lithuania underscores the international community's commitment to supporting Ukraine's agricultural initiatives amid the challenges posed by the conflict.
