Argentine prosecutors charge ex-President Fernandez in alleged abuse case, local media says

Argentina's federal prosecutor's office has formally charged ex-President Alberto Fernandez for allegedly causing serious injuries to his ex-partner and former first lady, Fabiola Yanez, local media reported on Wednesday.

Yanez, who currently lives in Spain with their son, last week accused Fernandez before a judge of gender-related violence against her. Images of Yanez appearing to show her with a black eye and other injuries were published by outlet Infobae.

Fernandez has said the accusations against him are false.
