Cameroonian bodybuilders exhibited their dominance on the global stage winning multiple medals at the just-ended world amateur bodybuilding championship in Santiago de Querétaro, Mexico.

Manga Salomon, Sanga Christian, and Tchitsou Tierri stood out with gold medals, while Ndadjie Ulrich and Anoho Kevin happily won silver medals. Bronze medals from Mani Oscar and Ndoko Espoir completed the tally for their performances.

This most recent victory is not an unusual occurrence in the Central African nation’s bodybuilding history. At the 2021 bodybuilding competition in Hercules, Mexico, a team of bodybuilders from Cameroon emerged as the world champions.

Bodybuilding in Africa has become a growing competition with participation on the world stage, continental stage and intra-country competitions.

Ghana’s William Bonac is one of the notable names in African bodybuilding. The West African has competed on the world stage in various International Fitness and Bodybuilding (IFBB) competitions since debuting almost a decade ago.
