China, UK need to strengthen strategic communication, China foreign minister says

China and the United Kingdom need to strengthen strategic communication, enhance mutual trust and demonstrate responsibility as major countries, China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi said in a meeting with the UK prime minister on Thursday.

Wang is visiting London for a strategic dialogue with the British foreign secretary, at which both sides agreed to speed up preparations for institutional dialogues on the economy and trade, health and industrial cooperation, the Chinese foreign ministry said.
