French kindergarten teacher on trial for hitting 3-year-old child in class - Video
A school teacher appears before the Paris magistrates' court for physically assaulting a 3-year-old child in class, the images of which sparked a wave of indignation in France.
Filmed on September 3, 2024, by another student's mother, the video showed the teacher delivering a violent blow to the back of a crying child at the Frères Voisin kindergarten in Paris’s 15th arrondissement.
The child, screaming, then moved toward a corner. The teacher then took a spray bottle and sprayed the girl. The child’s mother filed a complaint after seeing the video two days later.
