Senior Israeli Diplomat: Scores to be settled with Qatar following hostage release
After Qatar plays the role of a mediator in the negotiations for the release of the hostages, Israel will "settle scores" with Qatar, according to Joshua Zarka, deputy director general for strategic affairs at Israel's foreign ministry.
In an interview with Israel Army Radio on Wednesday, Nov. 29, Zarka denounced Qatar for "hosting and legitimizing the activities of Hamas".
He made it clear that "anyone who has been with Hamas" will face the harshest penalties imaginable.
