German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock congratulated Donald Trump on his victory in the U.S. presidential election.

She reaffirmed Germany's commitment to maintaining a close and reliable relationship with the incoming U.S. government.

In her statement, Baerbock highlighted the enduring partnership between Germany, Europe, and the United States. "The Americans have voted. Donald Trump has won the election, and we congratulate him," she said. "Germany, Europe and the United States are close partners and allies."

Baerbock also acknowledged that elections often lead to adjustments in both domestic and foreign policies. "Our transatlantic friendship has never been about one party. This is the essence of democracy. After elections, both domestic political relationships and foreign policy relations are readjusted," she added.
