Indonesia has launched an e-visa on-arrival program to make travel easier for tourists from 97 countries, including Thailand, India, Malaysia, and Singapore.

Visitors can now apply for their visas online before flying to Indonesia, allowing them to skip long queues at airports and enjoy a smoother entry experience.

The e-visa costs about $33, with an additional service fee of around $15.

Travellers need to upload their passport details, a photo, and their return or onward flight ticket on the official online platform. Once their application is approved, the e-visa is sent by email, and they can use it at special e-gates in Indonesian airports.

The program is being handled by VFS Global, a service provider that uses advanced technology to make the process faster and more user-friendly.

The system also supports group applications and is available in seven languages, including English, Mandarin, Japanese, and Arabic.

This new system is expected to boost tourism in popular destinations like Bali by making the visa process simpler and more convenient. Visitors are encouraged to plan their trips to take advantage of good weather, travel deals, and Indonesia’s many attractions.

With this move, Indonesia hopes to attract more international tourists and improve their travel experience.
