The Israeli army declared an expansion of its ground operations across the entirety of the Gaza Strip on Monday, marking the 59th day of the ongoing conflict with Hamas.

In a significant development, attacks have been reported in both the northern and southern regions of Gaza as the temporary ceasefire, initiated two days prior, crumbled.

Following the breakdown of the short-lived truce, Israel swiftly resumed military operations, focusing on key targets such as Hamas command centers, tunnels, warehouses, and weapons facilities.

According to an audio file reportedly linked to Ronen Bar, Israel's internal security chief, the Shin Bet agency asserted that Israel is actively targeting Hamas leaders globally, ranging from Turkey to Qatar and Lebanon.

Simultaneously, diplomatic efforts persist to revive the temporary ceasefire, secure the release of hostages, and augment aid to Gaza.

Officials from the Biden administration engaged in discussions with their Qatari counterparts on these critical matters.

Despite initial predictions by some Israeli officials that the conflict would endure for at least another two months to achieve the objectives of dismantling Hamas and securing the release of all hostages,

French President Macron expressed a different perspective. Macron suggested that the "destruction of Hamas would necessitate a decade of conflict" and recommended Israel clearly define its goals in the ongoing war.
