Majority of French back Macron's resignation if government falls - poll
Some 54% of French people think a no-confidence vote in parliament that could topple the government of Prime Minister Michel Barnier should be avoided due to the risk of financial crisis, according to an Elabe poll for BFM TV released on Wednesday.
If Barnier's government fell, 63% of those polled said they would be in favour of President Emmanuel Macron resigning.
