On Wednesday, Pope Francis expressed deep concern over the escalating violence in Lebanon, calling it "unacceptable." This condemnation follows Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon aimed at Hezbollah, which have reportedly resulted in hundreds of casualties.
"I am saddened by the news coming out of Lebanon," the Pope said, urging the international community to take action to stop the conflict. He conveyed his solidarity with the Lebanese people, who have already suffered greatly in recent times.
Pope Francis highlighted the urgent need for efforts to restore peace and stability in the region.
