Southern Greece's water crisis reveals EU's struggle with conservation - Video

In the Argolida region of southern Greece, water scarcity is becoming an increasing concern as authorities report significant losses in the local water supply system.
Water leaks through cracks in an irrigation canal that feeds a plain of orange trees, while old underground pipes are said to lose more than half of the water pumped through them, according to local officials.
As summer approaches and reservoir levels dip, the situation becomes more dire. In the regional capital, Nafplion, authorities have issued a warning to residents not to drink the contaminated brackish water that is pumped from backup sources into their homes.
