Spanish authorities clean up Valencia beach after oil spill: Video
Spanish authorities were designated to clean up some beaches after an oil spill off the coast of Valencia led to the closure of several beaches.
Three beaches were closed in total by the city council of Valencia, Spain on July 16.
The closure raised concerns over the impact on tourism and marine life.
The extent of the spill appears to have been limited to the areas that had been closed.
Raquel Ibáñez, who led a Spanish government subdelegate at the clean-up operation, told AFP "that practically the entire coastline is now free of contamination”.
