China to host reconciliation talks between rival Palestinian factions: Video

China’s foreign ministry spokesman, Lin Jian, announced Beijing's readiness to facilitate "reconciliation" between rival Palestinian factions.

This development comes after Fatah, formerly known as the Palestinian National Liberation Movement, revealed that its officials would meet with Hamas counterparts in Beijing this month.

When asked about these comments on Tuesday, July 16, Lin Jian stated that Beijing would "publish information at an appropriate time."

"China has always supported all sides in Palestine to achieve reconciliation and unity through dialogue and negotiation," he said.
