Vietnam's National Assembly has given the green light to a massive $8.3 billion railway project that will connect the country to China. This ambitious endeavour aims to boost trade and connectivity between the two nations, with the railway stretching approximately 390 kilometres from Hai Phong to the Lao Cai border with China.¹

The project is part of Vietnam's "Two Corridors, One Belt" initiative, which seeks to enhance the country's economic ties with China. By improving transportation infrastructure, Vietnam hopes to increase trade volumes and attract more foreign investment.

The railway will also benefit major manufacturing hubs in Vietnam, making it easier for companies to transport goods and raw materials. This, in turn, is expected to drive economic growth and create new job opportunities.
