200 pairs of shoes found at secret crematorium in Mexico

A secret crematorium has been found on a ranch in Jalisco, Mexico, with 200 pairs of shoes and burned human remains, raising fears that many missing people may have died there.
The discovery was made by Warrior Searchers of Jalisco, a group of families looking for their missing loved ones.
They were tipped off anonymously and called the authorities, who later confirmed the presence of burnt bones and bullet casings. The group believes the remains belong to people who disappeared.
The ranch had already been raided by authorities months ago at which time 10 armed men were arrested, two kidnapped people were rescued, and a body was found.
However, police did not fully search the area. The ovens and bones were hidden under dirt and bricks, making them difficult to find during the first inspection.
The site is believed to have been used by the Jalisco New Generation cartel, one of Mexico’s most powerful criminal groups.
The cartel is involved in drug and human trafficking and is known for its extreme violence. The ranch had an obstacle course, suggesting it may have been a training ground for new recruits.
When searchers arrived this week, they found clothes, bags, and shoes scattered across the ground. Within hours, they discovered three underground ovens filled with remains. It is still unclear how many people were burned there.
Jalisco has the highest number of missing people in Mexico, with nearly 15,000 reported cases.
Nationwide, over 100,000 people are officially listed as disappeared, but the real number may be even higher since many families are too afraid to report cases.
