Brazil's Justice Minister Ricardo Lewandowski told advisors and the Presidential Palace that he will leave the role, sources familiar with the matter told Reuters on Tuesday.
Lewandowski's exit is expected to become official on Friday, according to one source from the Presidential Palace.
The Justice Ministry and the Presidential Palace's communication secretariat did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
