DR Congo’s Republican Guard patrols Kinshasa amid M23 attacks: Video

Hundreds of Republican Guard soldiers march through Kinshasa in a show of force as M23 rebels advance in the country’s east.
Since 2021, the Congolese army has been steadily retreating due to the M23 offensive and the presence of Rwandan troops, who are seen as significantly better armed and trained.
Eventually pushed back to Goma, Congolese forces found themselves trapped—surrounded by the enemy on one side and Lake Kivu on the other, the AFP reports.
