A French court has sentenced three former Grenoble rugby players to prison terms of 12 to 14 years for the 2017 gang rape of a student following a night of heavy drinking. Irishman Denis Coulson, 30, and Frenchman Loïck Jammes, 30, received 14-year sentences, while New Zealander Rory Grice, 34, was sentenced to 12 years. The verdict came after a two-week trial held behind closed doors and over nine hours of jury deliberation.
