Gazans react after Donald Trump wins the US presidential election, saying "nothing will change", as the war in the Palestinian territory grinds on.

Donald Trump has secured a stunning victory in the 2024 US presidential election, defeating Democratic nominee Kamala Harris.

The victory, which came after a bitter and contentious campaign, solidified Trump's return to the White House for a non-consecutive second term, making him the first president in over a century to achieve such a feat.

The election results, which took many by surprise, were finalized early Wednesday with Trump capturing 277 Electoral College votes—well above the 270 needed to win—while Harris trailed with 224 votes.

"Whether it is Trump or another [president], nothing will change for the Palestinian issue. Unfortunately, Trump and the others support the Zionists," a displaced Gazan told AFP.
