Harris makes first appearance since Biden dropped out of race: Video
US Vice President Kamala Harris praised US President Joe Biden in her first remarks since Biden dropped out of the 2024 presidential race and endorsed her candidacy.
"I am firsthand witness that every day our President Joe Biden fights for the American people," she said from the South Lawn of the White House during an event honouring National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) championship teams from the 2023-2024 season.
On Monday, July 22, Harris' presidential campaign announced that it had raised $81 million in the first 24 hours since Harris announced she would seek the Democratic nominee.
While the presidential election is scheduled on November 5, the question remains: Will the Democrats proceed with Harris as the party candidate or choose another nominee?
