Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has declared the start of a new era for the country’s parliament following the victory of a revolutionary majority in the 2025 regional and legislative elections.

The post included a video featuring First Lady and National Assembly member Cilia Flores de Maduro during her formal recognition by the National Electoral Council (CNE).

In the video, Flores stated, “We will not only work on the main laws that benefit the people, but we will work from the National Assembly to support the policies of President Nicolás Maduro's government.”

The CNE officially proclaimed and awarded the elected governors, national assembly deputies, and members of legislative councils, following nationwide elections held on Sunday, May 25.
