Massive fire in Hong Kong high-rise blocks claims four Lives, including firefighter: Video

A major fire broke out on Wednesday, November 26, engulfing several high-rise apartment blocks in the Wang Fuk Court estate located in Tai Po, Hong Kong. 

The fire resulted in at least four fatalities and left over a dozen individuals trapped in the affected buildings.

According to reports, the blaze originated from bamboo scaffolding set up on multiple apartment blocks before rapidly spreading to other sections of the buildings.

Authorities in Hong Kong responded by raising the alert level to level 5, which is the highest level for fire emergencies in the city.

Among the deceased is a 37-year-old firefighter who was part of the emergency response team. He was transported to the hospital but was later confirmed dead.
