Mauritania signs $1.9 million in financing agreements with African Development Bank

Mauritania’s Minister of Economy and Finance, Sid'Ahmed ould Bouh, and the African Development Bank’s Regional Director for North Africa, Mohamed El Azizi, signed three financing agreements worth $1.9 million.

According to a joint statement released after the ceremony, the agreements “aim to strengthen the strategic partnership and support sustainable development in Mauritania.”, Le Calame reports.

The signing took place on the sidelines of the Bank’s annual general meetings in Abidjan.

The funds will target key development areas, including “sustainable agriculture, water security, environmental protection, and institutional capacity building,” the statement added.
