Morocco has started building the longest high-speed train line in Africa.

The new rail line is expected to stretch more than 430 kilometres. On completion, passengers will be able to travel from Tangier in the north to Marrakech in the south in under three hours.

This project is part of a larger national railway plan that costs $9.5 billion.

It will bring in global companies like Alstom, CAF, and Hyundai Rotem, and is expected to create thousands of jobs for Moroccans.

It will also help bring in more tourists and make travel easier for people living in the country.

The project, which was launched by King Mohammed VI, will link the cities of Kenitra and Marrakech.

The train will also travel through Rabat and Casablanca, cutting down the time it takes to move between these busy places

The government says the line supports Morocco’s push for greener transport.
