No alcohol at 2034 FIFA World Cup in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia has confirmed that alcohol will not be allowed during the 2034 FIFA World Cup.
This means there will be no alcohol sales in hotels or anywhere else during the tournament.
Prince Khalid Bin Bandar Bin Sultan, Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to the UK, said the country will not change its alcohol rules for the event.
He explained that Saudi Arabia is a "dry country" and believes visitors can still enjoy the World Cup without alcohol.
The kingdom has made it clear that it will welcome fans but will not change its cultural values.
Saudi Arabia was officially named the 2034 World Cup host in December 2024.
News Central reports that the tournament will be held in 15 stadiums across five cities: Riyadh, Jeddah, Khobar, Abha, and Neom.
This World Cup will also be historic as it will feature 48 teams for the first time, expanding the number of countries competing in the tournament.
