The Philippines has been named the Best Dive Destination at the TripZilla Excellence Awards 2024, solidifying its reputation as a top global travel spot.

The award, voted on by travel enthusiasts, highlights the country's incredible diving offerings.

TripZilla recognised the Philippines for its rich marine biodiversity, colourful coral reefs, and more than 7,000 islands. The country was described as a "premier dive destination," with dive sites suitable for all experience levels.

"Whether exploring vibrant coral gardens teeming with marine life or venturing through shipwrecks and underwater caves, the country offers dive sites suited for all levels," TripZilla described on its website.

The Philippines' crystal-clear waters, affordable dive packages, and world-class resorts were also cited as key attractions for divers.

This is not the first time the Philippines has been honoured for its diving. In August, the country was named the "Best Diving Destination" at the Diving Resort Travel Show (DRT) in Beijing. It has also earned the title of Asia's Leading Dive Destination at the World Travel Awards for six consecutive years.

TripZilla is Southeast Asia's leading culture and travel digital media. The Award ceremony honoured hotels and travel providers who have delivered the most exceptional experiences.
