Touadera declared provisional winner of Central African Republic presidential election: Video

The Central African Republic’s National Election Authority (ANE) has announced the provisional victory of incumbent President Faustin-Archange Touadera in the December 28 presidential election.

Speaking at a press conference in the capital, Bangui, on Monday, December 5, ANE President Mathias Morouba said Touadera secured 76.15 per cent of valid votes cast, achieving an outright majority in the first round. Voter turnout stood at 52.42 per cent.
