Trump accuses Democrats of ‘derangement problem’ over spending bill: Video
U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday, October 20, accused Democrats of stalling a key spending measure, claiming they were suffering from what he described as a “Trump derangement problem.”
“We don’t need any more votes. All we want to do is have a vote of continuation,” Trump told reporters. “They’re having what’s called a Trump derangement problem. Have you heard about that problem? Because that’s the only reason this could be possible.”
The president said he expects Democrats will eventually support the Continuation Resolution (CR), a temporary measure to keep the government funded, citing strong economic performance under his administration.
“I think they’re going to have no choice but to go along, because the country is setting records in every way, and people want it to continue that way,” Trump added. “So we’re hoping the Democrats become much less deranged, and that we will get the vote pretty soon.”
