Congratulatory messages to Emir of Qatar

Lukashenko visit to UAE

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko is on a working visit to the United Arab Emirates, focusing on trade, economic, investment, and humanitarian cooperation. The visit includes several meetings and negotiations to enhance mutual interests.

Irish Ambassador in UAE

Ajman Crown Prince H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi welcomed Irish Ambassador Alison Milton at the Emiri Court on December 18, 2024. They discussed enhancing bilateral cooperation between the UAE and Ireland across various sectors. The Ambassador expressed gratitude for the warm reception and praised the development of Ajman and the UAE. The meeting was attended by several sheikhs and senior officials.

U.S. sanctions

The U.S. has sanctioned two UAE-based Chinese nationals, Lu Huaying and Zhang Jian, along with their front company, for laundering stolen cryptocurrency linked to North Korean cybercriminals. This operation was aimed at funding North Korea's weapons programs and involved converting the cryptocurrency into cash for Sim Hyon Sop, a previously sanctioned North Korean banking representative, according to the Treasury Department.

Strongest passport

For the fourth consecutive year, the UAE has been ranked as the world's strongest passport, achieving a total score of 180, which allows access to over 90% of countries. Emirati passport holders can enter 133 countries visa-free and obtain visas on arrival in 47 countries. Spain follows in second place with a score of 179, while Finland ranks third. The UK and US experienced declines, ranking 32nd and 38th, respectively. Among GCC nations, Qatar ranks 95th, Kuwait 96th, and Saudi Arabia 100th.
