The World Health Organization's emergencies director, Mike Ryan, has hailed Uganda’s swift deployment of an Ebola vaccine trial amid the ongoing outbreak. Speaking at the Uganda Virus Research Institute in Entebbe, Ryan emphasized the vaccine's potential, noting it is based on the same platform as the highly effective Ebola Zaire vaccine.“This is the fastest rollout in my memory of a vaccine in a real epidemic situation,” he told AFP, expressing optimism about its effectiveness.
