Ukraine supporters rally in Washington ahead of war anniversary: Video

Supporters of Ukraine gathered at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington on Saturday, February 22, ahead of the third anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
The march took place following U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent comments on social media in which he referred to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as a "dictator without elections."
One rally participant criticised Trump’s stance on the conflict, accusing him of repeating Russian propaganda. “It's very important for the U.S. to support Ukraine until they win the war fully… We knew who Trump was. It's horrifying that people voted for him to support this, but we also know that the majority of Americans do support Ukraine and do not agree with what Trump has been saying,” she told AFP.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio travelled to Saudi Arabia for direct talks with Russia on a potential ceasefire in Ukraine. The meeting, scheduled for Tuesday, February 18, in Riyadh, did not include representatives from Ukraine, a decision that Kyiv has criticised.
Monday, February 24, marks three years since Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
