Screens at the Maiquetia airport in Caracas now display arrest warrants for Edmundo Gonzalez Urrutia, an exiled opposition leader.

This move comes amid heightened political tensions following the controversial presidential election in Venezuela on July 28.

Edmundo Gonzalez Urrutia, who claims to have won the presidential election against incumbent Nicolas Maduro, fled to Spain in September 2024 after Maduro was declared the winner.

The election results have been widely disputed, with allegations of rigging and fraud.
