Pakistan MPs from Imran Khan's party remanded at anti-terrorism court: Video

At least six Pakistan MPs from jailed former prime minister Imran Khan's party appeared in an anti-terrorism court in Islamabad on September 10.

This comes two days after they led thousands of supporters for a major rally in the capital.

The six MPs were more than 30 people remanded in custody by the court under the Peaceful Assembly and Public Order Act 2024 which restricts protests.

The remanded persons were accused of violating the new law which was passed just last week.

A total of 34 people were named on the charge sheet, AFP reported.

Meanwhile, leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, Shoaib Shaheen said these attacks will not deter them from fighting for the freedom of their leader, Khan.

"These small obstacles won't hold us back. We are the soldiers of Imran Khan, and we stand with him," he told the AFP.
